The location is convenient, pretty close to Pham Ngu Lao

The service was bad. We booked a 8-bed dorm for 4 nights. However, the hostel owner asked us to do her a favor to stay at the 6-dorm room with 2 extra beds for the first 2 nights and promised to let us move to 2 private rooms for the last two days. When we moved to 2 private rooms on the 3rd night. The next morning she told us to change rooms again. She asked two of us move to 6-bed dorm and the rest stay in one private room which can only accommodate 4 people. This has made our stay very unpleasant. She kinda apologized at the end. But it would've been better if she's not greedy at first.

Don't leave your shoes at the ground floor of the hostel in front of the doors!!!

Nothing!

Immediately after making the reservation I received an email that in order to make a check in I should contact another hostel, (PHAN AHN) which is located a few steps away. Upon arrival it turned out that there is no place for us in NEW SAIGON 2 hostel and we have to stay in this hostel for the night. Unfortunetly the rooms there are not that nice like on the pictures of New Saigon 2. Because we left the hostel on the second day in the morning, we were promised sandwiches with cheese to take away. Unfortunately we didn't get them. At the end, however, we had the worst of surprises, because our sneakers disappeared at night! and this despite closed doors and security!!! Sleepy Staff was not helpful. we left the city barefoot and disappointed :(

Among the three cities we visited, Hanio and Da Nang were definitely much better than HCM.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. We were told to check in and have breakfast at their sister hotel. No towel, No Drinking Water nor Electric Kettle for boiling Water, No Cleaning Service, even though we paid extra VDW 1,000,000 via booking.com as compared to their actual walk in rate on the same 3 nights. Not worth for the money spent. Breakfast service was terrible!

Staff, especially those staff serving the breakfast. No cleaning, no change of Towel, No drinking water!

Quite basic, but it was fine for somewhere to lay my head...

Quite basic, but it was fine for somewhere to lay my head for a few nights and in a good location for what I wanted. I had a private room with en-suite bathroom. It was clean overall and staff were helpful - airport pickup was reasonably priced and they met me at the exit and out of the taxi (as the hostel is a little hard to find first time!). Breakfast was included for me too and it was simple but pretty good - egg or noodle options. I booked a couple of things using the onsite travel agent and also used the laundry service and also found those decent.

The aircon needs to be looked at - the room smelt a little musty and it started leaking at one point and I had to turn it off for a while. It seemed to right itself but looking at it I think it might need a clean/service. Unfortunately I couldn’t open the window to air the room as there were no screens so bugs wouldve come in. There was also quite a strong smell of cigarette smoke in my room, at intervals - and a general lingering smell in the air. Not sure where it was coming from but it wasn’t pleasant. Perhaps from downstairs or one of the other rooms??

Great hostel

We stayed in a dorm room and a private room and both were great. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly!

Location was down an alley with rats around. You have to check in into a hostel a few doors down so no reception in this hotel

No thrills, but good hostel.

Nicely kept and fairly clean, good location and the breakfast at the sister hostel was nice.

The key broke and they didn't replace it until the last day, meaning we had to ring the bell each time we came back. This was a sister hostel to the main one meaning there was no receptionist on hand

Just enough for what you paid.

The room is quite big than expected. There were enough sockets in each bed. The wifi speed is good and the cleanliness is good.

We arrived at 5:30 AM and it is quite hard to wake the staff of the hostel. It took us around 15-20 minutes to check if the hostel is open or not since there it is closed and no entrance anywhere. Bathroom towels are not provided when we arrived and needs to be requested. Took around 8 hours before the bathroom towels were provided.

It was a disappointing experience.

The hostel is clean, dorm rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable.

The staff are not honest. Mine was a "pay-at-the-property" reservation, so I paid for my stay in cash at the reception. They sneakily charged on my credit card after 2 days of my check-out, by marking my booking.com reservation as a “no-show”. The charge appeared as "HKD KS SG MOI HAI-MT” on my credit card. It took me a while to figure out what exactly that charge was. It wasn't booking.com or New Saigon Hostel 2. It wasn't even the same amount as booking.com quoted. So, I had to call my bank to figure out where that charge came from. I didn't ask for a receipt when I paid cash at the reception, so I have no way to prove my check-in. I had to go back and forth with booking.com to ask for a refund. If you end up staying here, please make sure to get a receipt for your payment.

Nice place to stay in Ho Chi Minh.

Really nice staff. A free beer in the evening is a good idea to get the backpackers together. We enjoyed our stay!

This hostel is working together with the nearby hostel Anh Phan. When we arrived they told us that we are staying in the other hostel. I'd have appreciated to know this before but it was still really good and it is just two doors away.

Địa chỉ khó kiếm Không chuẩn bị đồ dùng vscn cho khách (khăn mặt. khăn tắm, bàn chải, kem đáng răng, ly... không có thứ gì luôn!) Kệ dưới gương trong nvs còn chưa lắp. Trong booking nói có chỗ đậu xe miễn phí, nhưng tới nơi không có chỗ đậu xe, hỏi thì nhân viên chỉ mang xe ra bãi xe của công cộng gửi, tốn phí mà khá xa, đi lại trười mưa ướt sạch!
